Measure Your Heart Rate Using Chest Vibrations
Your phone can detect your heartbeat using tiny chest vibrations. No wearables, no registration, just place your phone on your chest.
A 2023 study showed that heart vibration sensors combined with AI can predict blood flow and diagnose aortic valve problems with up to 95% accuracy, offering a cheaper and faster alternative for heart disease screening.Read the study.
How It Works
HeartScan uses your phone's accelerometer to detect tiny vibrations from your heartbeat - a technology called seismocardiography.
Lay Down
Position yourself comfortably in a reclined position.
Press Start
Press start and place your smartphone on your chest.
Complete the Scan
Remain still until you hear the finishing signal.
Technology From Space Missions
The technique of studying the mechanical activity of the heart through the analysis of thoracic oscillations was originally developed for early manned space missions, including Yuri Gagarin's historic flight.
Our method doesn't require any additional sensors and has the potential to diagnose heart conditions at an early stage. In independent head-to-head studies, SCG showed up to 52% higher sensitivity for detecting coronary artery disease than exercise ECG, while maintaining similar specificity (Wilson et al., 1993).
